Welcome James McCarthy KDH.
Gueye, Armstrong, Garner, Tim, KDH
solid 5 options there
my only concern i guess is that there seems to be a lack of physical presence in that midfield and maybe also a lack of quality, Tim and Armstrong are too young to comment on at this stage and garner has had inconsistency issues in the past and we know Gana hasn't got the best passing ability and can sometimes give the ball away too easily
That’s why I said potential. He seems to have the right attributes, so if he becomes a reliable performer then he has a chance. He hasn't even kicked a ball for us yet mate
First thing I thought when I watched the announcement video, that he looked happy and chuffed to be here. Which is rather refreshing tbhIt's the bit in the vid where he says:
"I'm honestly very excited, my family is excited, there's a real buzz about this, it feels right for me"
That one sentence felt very authentic to me. Prior to that talking about his fitness he eluded to keeping himself ready for when the right opportunity came up like this. That says to me he knew he was probably leaving Chelsea, looked at his potential opportunities with his family, we were one of them, we then approached him therefore a relatively easy deal to do.
Probably in a good head space too. It's always nice when a player doesn't feel like they've been dragged kicking & screaming to join us.
He's a very good player, possibly not top top level but will defo improve us no end.Really enjoyed his interview. Seems determined to make an impression and hit the ground running which is what we need.
If he becomes as good as Doucoure was for us we will have a very good signing.
Would share your concern. There’s a big lack of pace KDH and Iroegbunam aside. We could do with another mobile physical midfielder in there to play alongside KDH or Garner in a two or in a 3. Tim probably needs a championship loan.
Like that’s difficult.
