However I don't agree with you about the balance of the deal as proposed by your club.

In fact I will go further and say that I don't think any club, even one with far better finances than us will look to do that deal.

Again that's fine if Southampton don't really want or need to sell.

On the other hand if , like every other club relegated from the PL, you need to cut costs and sell players I think you have massively overplayed your hand.

If I was leading the negotiations for Everton I'd just walk away.

I feel sorry for the lad. There is no other PL team able to afford him who will guarantee him game time .

We for sure need to raise funds this summer. Think we've already brought in about £30m and have Dibling and Fernandes who'll both fetch large fees.

We're apparently in a much better financial position than last time we went down, especially with wages, but my feeling is that we have to sell at least one of those two. In all probability both will go of course but I don't think it's essential for us, and you'd think Dibling would be easier to keep given his (relatively) tiny wages.

Agree with your last bit, as I said I thjnk Everton would be a really good move for him but I also don't think it's a good deal for you at the current price.

I still think a deal will be done and the two clubs will find a middle ground.
