He’d honestly have a few more goals and assists if his team mates had any composure whatsoever. People give him grief about his touch or hold up play but the amount of times I’ve seen him hold it, lay it back, spin the defender looking for the ball behind only for his teammate to lash it out the ground, underhit it completely, or delay it so much that he’s offside, is ridiculous.

He showed in both derbies how dangerous he is even against a top defence if we just get the ball in behind to him quickly. The central midfielders at Everton are disgraceful at times.
Also making clever runs but the pass is slow in coming and he gets the grief for being offside

He isn't, but I agree that he does put a shift in.
Let’s see how this season pans out, given the minutes I believe he is good enough and will get double figures, or last season was a fluke, no doubting how raw he is but to score goals in the premier league is difficult and luckily he got a few for us last season.

Was a game towards end of season when his hold up play looked to have really improved. And he played a peach of a ball out to the wing where McNeil was running to. And McNeil just stopped and let it go out of play when he basically would have had a clear run down the right wing. The pass by Beto was excellent though,

Will start the season as our first choice striker, but will be usurped as the starting no.9 by Barry come November. Will spend the rest of the season making an impact off the bench, finishing with 8-10 goals and a couple of assists. Will be sold to an Italian or Portuguese side next summer and replaced by Ellis Simms, who scores 28 goals for Coventry in a stand out year in which they get promoted.

Does he try sure - but that’s expected from any one and every one.

Is he good enough? No. If we can replace with a player who can link play but score then I’d do it.

So now pre season is done, where is everybody at with him as our striker ?.
Can't say he fills me with much confidence and I suspect premiership clubs would have their work done on how to nullify him by now.

I just hope we are able to get another Striker through the door as I really don't think there's twenty premiership goals between the three of them atm.

The same as I was with him last season. I don't know why a few friendlies should change anything.

He was still our top scoring striker last year and I think he will be again as he will be starting the season while Barry finds his feet.

When was the last time we had 20 league goals from our group of strikers? Probably under Ancelotti.
