I don’t think we will, just a bit of cat & mouse. Southampton need the sale. And who else can we go for now, we’d have to pay 40 for Hutchinson. Not officially anyway
I'm not bother one bit about this lad any more. If he was that good then other clubs would be in for him, and as far as I can see its only us. It annoys me that Southampton are trying to pull our pants down over this. I'd much rather us go after another target (don't care who) and leave them alone.Manchester City signed Rayan Cherki from Lyon for £35 million and he is a much more proven player, puts into context how absurd Southampton are becoming in their valuation of Dibling.
I reckon we can do a deal but it's all PSR connected I think.50 mill flat. No add-ons. No percentage of any future transfer fee.
If not, walk away.

If he was that good we wouldn’t get him, you’re right, but he’s 19. We ain’t getting the best 24 to 27yr olds to join so we end up with 2nd and 3rd rate players in that age bracket and still pay over the odds for these. And look how That’s worked out in the past.I'm not bother one bit about this lad any more. If he was that good then other clubs would be in for him, and as far as I can see its only us. Cherkis on 140k a week there so the deals worth a lot more . Can't imagine we'd be paying Dibling more than 40k a week considering he's currently on 5k.Manchester City signed Rayan Cherki from Lyon for £35 million and he is a much more proven player, puts into context how absurd Southampton are becoming in their valuation of Dibling.
That's extremely naive. They are not going to commit to a massive wage increase without being in the premier league and including relegation clauses. Why would he sign a contract for less wages than he deserves and give up the opportunity for a signing fee/higher wages next year? Especially given how they are behaving now.Yes they will, he is on a tiny amount, loves them & they can promise him the move next season.
If he is so untested, raw and as much of a risk as many blues think, then its not too realistic him staying and developing more.
Zatara?He's not the only one
