….Grealish generally stands his full backs up before going past them which often makes it difficult for strikers to time their runs to get in front of the CB. He rarely gets 6-yard tap ins when the ball comes from the opposite flank, not busting a gut to get in goalscoring positions.
He’s a talented footballer, no doubt, but he’s never been for me. I loved Sterling but agree he could well have lost his appetite for playing (his record at City is extraordinary).
If we acquire Grealish, I’m ok with it but him and Dewsbury-Hall wouldn’t have been on my shopping list.
KDH is a very very good player mate, you'll end up loving him here, Grealish was always over hyped but he's the type that will always be due to how he plays, still miles better than anything we have had for a whilst mind.
Sterling has been finished for about three seasons mate, and I mean Dele Alli level finished, not just appetite for the game but he's completely washed up ability wise, looks like he's about 40 not 30, maybe the result of playing so many games as a 15-19yo - like Rooney.
Which is reflected in his stats because his numbers aren’t particularly high considering the players he has around him and now many goals city score….Grealish generally stands his full backs up before going past them which often makes it difficult for strikers to time their runs to get in front of the CB. I think the club have walked away.Today’s the day
I think the club have walked away.
Cheaper options definitely exist , but identifying them and ensuring they are of the required quality and meet the requirements of the coach is the challenge.
The fact our new structure is missing the presence of key operators probably makes it more difficult for us and perhaps means our wanted list isn’t as extensive as we would like .
We have worked down our list already with little reward to date.
The worst thing would be to recruit the low quality players who would not advance us but would limit our options for another 2or 3 years.
Won’t be unless player puts transfer request inRight outcome unless the sell on clause is removed.
For me Grealish isn't a winger and putting him on the left just to cut back into his right foot seems a bit crazy , but it's Pep so what do I know.….Grealish generally stands his full backs up before going past them which often makes it difficult for strikers to time their runs to get in front of the CB. He hasn’t played much though so it’s hard to tell.Grealish definitely has more in the tank and more to give than Sterling. Sterling has all but given up.
