Your First, Last and Best Beer

First: a pint of ‘best’ mild. That’s what it said on the pump so that’s what a 13yo me asked for.

Best: Three Tuns ale, from the pub brewery in Bishops Castle, Shropshire. A bitter smooth as milk.

Last: a pint of Leffe in France last week

Played for the local church under 18 team in the old Prescot & Huyton, Liverpool league - we were all 16 & 17 years old after a heavy training stint pre season someone suggested going to Cases pub - the Quarry inn in the bar { now knocked down it was 14p a pint about ten of us walked to the pub & walked in the bar - It was so tiny the bar -
The Landlord Owen was made up pulling pint after pint - Where have you lot come from - one of the players oh we have been training as we play in the under 18 team .... He smiled & carried pulling the pints the was such a glare at the lad who shouted that out - come again any time you want lads he smiled Greenall's bitter from the pump - it went down well - if you went in the lounge it was 1p a pint dearer = 15p - almost 6 pints for a quid ....
The Greenhalls lager was pure crap though .....

Greenalls ! That's a blast from the past.

First: Bass Ale. [I know, what was I thinking] at about 16 years old and never touched it again as I puked all 3 pints of it out all over the pub floor that night]

Best: Saint Pauli Girl Lager I was first attracted by its brand logo and subsequently really got to like the taste of it and even more so how just 3 or 4 large bottles of it made me feel😉

Last: Red Horse Beer On my recent trip to Asia, not crazy bout the taste of it but good for a quick buzz and an 🤯 if that's your thing

Apart from allegedly being given sips of bottled Guinness as a baby by my Aunty...see, he likes it,
First; at a party in our house, I was 14 or 15
Last; I haven't had it yet...hopefully
Penultimate: Kilkenny around 5pm my time

First - pint of Skol in The Lamb (27p)
Last - whatever I had in Ye Hole in Ye Wall on Saturday night
Best - Tetleys Bitter in The Roscoe Head in the mid-80’s
Kozel Dark in the Černého Vola in Prague
Beamish in Mulligans Bar in Dublin

First - pint of lager in Lloret de mar as a 14 year old on holiday with my parents

Last - couple of beers at home on Saturday night watching the Dundee Utd game

Best - my first pint of Little Creatures pale ale at their newly opened brewery overlooking Fremantle harbour, which they built on the site of the recently closed crocodile farm
