Walk away. Who's next on the list?

Bold of you to assume they have a list. If this lad was actually a long term target and they thought he was worth over Ā£40m, we wouldn’t have waited til August to start lashing in derisory lowball bids for him. It’s a mess.

Think people need to make peace with the fact Jack Harrison is coming back and Leeds will probably bend us over for Ā£15m for him too. And this is in no way a ā€œfunny har har wouldn’t it be hilarious if we signed Harrisonā€ meme, I fully expect him to be our starting right winger this season.

Well Moyes went public for no reason.

Moyes wants full control of transfers.

Yet you back Moyes and blame the 2 others ?

Its not registering with you that this is on Moyes?

Weve appeased him by forking out a daft fee for a SECOND unwanted player. First Travers and now KDH.

Hes a coach. He should never have gone public.

This window is a total mess likely due to Moyes daft list of demands.
Maybe wor Kenny has been frozen out of the negotiations? @davek

Think we may have to pay it. We were so slow in moving into more realistic targets so doubt there us time to move onto another target. Its not like its surprise when window open and closes

Torn on this. Not Dibling, but the principle. It's on reflection, like Swansea over Sigurdsson. The club paid the price for that stratergy of just paying. Do we walk away? Or do we just pay? Moyes getting annoyed. What we want is Moyes to relax, as the club will get this done. Unfortunately it's not Alex Ferguson and pomp Man Utd. Nevermind that we're not even Man Utd now who can pay silly money. Maybe we have to walk away.

Who is he calling out?

For far too long? They've only been here a few months, no?

Some have yet to even start?

If Moyes feels the recruitment team (which support him) aren't good enough, then thats on TFG.
I don’t really understand why Moyes felt the need to comment publicly .
Such comments could have been made privately and carried equal weight.
Seems to have been an element of politicking and preemptive blame shifting.
The comments served Moyes rather than the club overall.

Probably should have stuck with the DoF model...
Not fussed about what model we go with but it doesn't feel like we have transitioned at all from the old model to the new one. It feels like there has been a very blunt end and start to everything.

Every club and agents out there understood Everton’s position and difficulty in the market before Moyes spoke.

The Saints guy, Spors, believes in setting a market. There is an interview out there from his 777 days where he explains that a selling club has to display absolute conviction and belief in its valuation. Any hint of weakness and your ask gets pulled apart. He is walking his talk. He will not move off it any time soon. Instead he will expect that his conviction will encourage other clubs to convince themselves on the valuation he is setting.

If the counteroffer is true then it would seem that Southampton are not serious about selling him as the 25% sell on fee is ridiculous. I think he's a very promising player but it's time to walk away and focus on other targets with teams who will negotiate in a realistic fashion. Around £40 million plus £5 million add ons and say a 10% sell on fee is the absolute maximum that he's worth at this point in time.

It seems odd given he will be in the last year of his contract next year and his value will surely not be increasing after a season in the Championship. Teams will be happy to sit and wait pick him up on a free in 2026.

2027 you mean.

He has a couple ( 2 years ) of years left on his contract.
