You're making out like wirtz is some undeniable force of nature thats just going to rip the PL apart. Hes a kid whos been playing in a crap league and had a good couple of seasons there.

Let's not get all like United fans last year getting furious because we wouldn't bend over for them and give them Branthwaite for what they thought was a fair price. I think it's too much for us to be paying, but if they don't want to accept what we've offered then fair enough.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to throw shade at the club really (although the failure to get other deals done more quickly leads to this sort of situation), more that it was time to end the negotiation (for now anyway).

It doesn't make sense for Moyes to be fuming about the lack of signings if he's responsible for saying no to saying players.

He's not going to be doing contracts or negotiating fees. That's up to the recruitment team and CEO etc.

They can say everything is on track but very few would agree, including Moyes himself. It was a comment that wasn't necessary.
