Not sure what your point is? Our transfer window so far has been:

Aznou 19
Barry 22
Alcaraz 22
Travers 26
Dewsbury Hall 27

We’re now linked heavily with Dibling 19.

We’re not putting together Dad’s army here
This is why I hate the media circus surrounding transfers.

People just make their own stuff up.

It’s a hard one because he’s a different role to Gana who’s our more effective but he will play football that makes Evertonians very happy, and move the ball quicker up field which we need. Our players with pace will get better because of him in the team and Everton will be decent on the counter. Really good signing, and by market rate a good price.
He will remove Garner not Gana from the team if we play with two.

I think it’s a steal at that price 25m

Garner but not Gana mate. We still need a very defensive midfielder which won’t be KDB. Be interesting to see if Moyes deploys him at number 8 or 10. Proven quality at that age is usually much more than £25m. Will be a fan favourite.

Really my point is that I think we paid a ton for an unexceptional player.

I guess many think he’s a lot better than that, and no, better than we have currently isn’t the same thing.

Yes I agree nobody removes our little Gana!!

KDH He is perfect midfielder for the final 3rd, I think Beto will be helped a lot by having him behind him, he might actually start to get some passes in front of him running at goal which he loves.

Everyone listed here combined cost Brighton 23m.

Does anyone see the problem yet?

Hold on

I said that we need to sign some established players as well as only young players. You said that Brighton only sign young players and it seems to work for them. I pointed out that they also sign older players

Now you're saying that they were all cheap so it doesn't count?

I see what you're trying to say but it's sort of irrelevant to what you and I were talking about (which was about whether you can base a transfer strategy around only signing young players)

Brighton tbf never really sign players in their prime. They sign either 21-24 year olds or post-30 y/o players on the come down - so there is no direct comparison. They did splash 40m on championship legend Rutter last year though, so perhaps that's a useful barometer

I’ve had 15 people reply to me mate how much we’re spending on the lad is a huge part of the problem. It’s a combination of price and player as always and for me this is bad value.

Look at them teeth.

£28m for that smile?

I’m in
