Your First, Last and Best Beer

First beer was Guinness, last I had was Guinness, I love the stuff.

My favourite for the last few years has been White Rat, it’s an Ossett brewery quite pale Ale and sits nice at 4% with lots of flavour.

Still like and enjoy the occasional almost frozen bottle of becks on a warm sunny evening, at home only as the pubs don’t keep it cold enough.

First was probably a can of Skol unfortunately. First pint was Guinness when I was 15. Had 3 or 4 and was chucking up all night. Great days!

Last was Efes. Nothing wrong with that when it's 40°

Best was from a place in Todmorden called the Bare Arts. Guy brewed it all himself. Triple dropped and it was the best stuff I've ever tasted by an absolute mile
End of September I’m off to Turkey for 10 days and can’t wait for my first Efes in the sun, I can buy it here but it’s not the same as its home 😂😂. It’s my 50th birthday whilst I’m there and I’m gonna get totally Efed up

…..early drink as a schoolboy was Newcastle Brown, in the Clock on London Rd before going to Flintlocks Club. Bottles were huge and it didn’t take many.

Fortunately when I started playing open-age footy the old fellas who ran and watched the teams I played for warned me off lager, told me to stick with ‘dark ale’. I’d have a bottle of Manns brown with half bitter or mild, then moved onto ‘Fifty’ (half mild/half draught Guiness) but have drunk Guinness for most of my life.

I couldn’t drink a pint of lager if it was offered free all night, dreadful stuff.

Lager isn't terrible, grow up and stop being so tedious

First 'pint', mild in the Salisbury, Granton road. Think I was 14, we were in the snug at the back. Marvellous, isn't it?.
Last one was a Guinness. Yesterday.
Best pint was a pint of Mann's brown on draught in the Gingerbread on Stanley street. I was about 20, so 40+ years ago. I would pay a fortune to try that again.
Oh, and a case of Rolling Rock ;)
And add my first beer at 13 was either McEwans or Watney's from a party 7 NYE at home aged 12 😊

Can do specific lagers in bottles. But not draft, too gassy.
Besides, Guinness is good for you.

Struggling to remember my first pint in a pub, but think it was a bitter in The Unicorn in Cronton (probably Greenall Whitley back then).
My last pint, unfortunately, was a pint of John Smith's last week at a quiz I go to - it's the only bitter they sell 😭.
My favourite beer is Felinfoel Double Dragon, a fine brew from near Llanelli.
The best drink I was ever served was an efes in Dalyan, Turkey. We had just been dropped off from a taxi in the middle of town and were pulling our suitcases to the hotel in very hot weather. We passed a sign saying "Ice cold efes here" and just detoured into the bar. Splendid memory.

Fly from the uk on the 30th September and there til October 9th, happy to catch you for a beer if you’re anywhere near oludeniz 😂
For once I am not, it is often one of our stops on our mini tour, but this year something different, going to the South East and visiting some of the cities that were affected by the earthquake a couple of years ago - Diyarbakir, Mardin, Sanliurfa & Gazientep. Thank you For the offer though 👍

I've had a very similar experience too A few years ago, we'd been shopping in the sun, when I saw a fellow hotel guest and his family.

We'd had drinks with them as families each evening, so the husband suggested we had a quick drink while the wives and daughters kept shopping.

An ice-cold Efes in a frozen glass was phenomenal; I think we ended up having about four or five. @Kurt. Efes is great, but it's even better in Turkey!

I am definitely not a lager drinker but I love efes in Turkey.

Ice cold in Alex Dalyan
