we aren’t spending £50mill mateSpend £50 million on this lad and I’d say there is a 95% chance we regret it.
I’ve not been too enamoured with our transfer strategy this window, it’s been pie in the sky stuff and now we seem set to massively overpay because we’ve got desperate.
He played a full season last year at 40 plus million he’s not coming in to sit on the benchHow long would it be until he is "ready"?
People would soon forget his age and inexperience.
For the type of fee mooted, he'd have to be in the team very, very soon and impacting games.
His value won't be increasing on the bench. Massive pressure on a lad at a club that is pining for a hero.
Agree with this. Aznou at £9m has time on his side. We have a left back who is competent but not spectacular, we have paid a relatively small transfer fee for him and can afford for it to turn out that he can’t cut it in the premier league. They will sell at the price they set.
I don’t think they want to sell at all at this point unless a club pays far in excess of his current worth .
I would like him , but he is still mostly potential and definitely overpriced.
Depends what we want to do with our budget and whether his price limits other signings we may wish to make I suppose.
I wouldn’t be overly disappointed if we walked away at this point .
If its literally a difference of 5 mill then we should just pay it...
Take your point , but even add ons limit future spending.Put a load of add ons in. If we achieve them no one will care that the fee has gone up.
Bet they want £40m up front with a big sell-on clause. Won’t work this way.Put a load of add ons in. If we achieve them no one will care that the fee has gone up.
And another 5. And another 5. Southampton looked up Swansea's playback. If its literally a difference of 5 mill then we should just pay it...
Ones that said they had set an asking price of 40m.I've seen reports saying we believe a bid of 40 million will be enough to sign him. What reports have you seen that the price they want has changed?
Once again, is it a rule that relegated clubs have to sell?
Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing but i think you could be rightThis isn’t happening now
HAHA got me, i need coffeewasn't it Madrid? Thought it was mentioned earlier...
This isn’t happening now
I think it's pretty embarrassing and certainly doesn't help negotiationsWas it? I don’t feel in anyway embarrassed. Seems like more of a you problem than an Everton problem.
