I'm expecting a range of carparks in the industrial areas within 10 minutes walk or less to spring up almost immediately.

Lots of entrepreneurial people will be waiting to jump on this

Car parks are a thing of the past for new stadiums, apart from sufficient areas for those less abled.

Car parks aren't ideal for new stadiums. Public transport is.

Openly advertising the fact that they have done nothing at all to improve local Infrastructure, and have not done anything. Everton have spent 800 million on a stadium, and they have sat back and made excuses like ‘well the club need to do their part’. Scum!

Thought it was interesting how they partitioned off the upper tier yesterday, a topic that has been in the stadium chats for a while now. It didn't seem obvious nor did it seem to take anything away from the occasion though I wan't there so could be different in real life.

Saw that. Where it said Atlanta United. Something similar in the Lucas Oil Stadium. As I remember they used large advertising boards. It leads to a variable capacity. One question I asked Meis about at St Lukes. Would have work for us when you have less fancied games.

Loads of private parking will crop up - what won't be available as easily is free parking with 0.5-1mile from the ground like at goodison - I've parked at grandison road for years but will be likely car sharing or getting the train more

The nearest I've found are the Taipan Restaurant/W.H. Lung supermarket car park on Boundary Street, and the one on Walter Street. Both £15. I also found one a little further on Pall Mall for £10. I live in Vauxhall so I'll do another scouting mission before Saturday and post my findings.

For me it's easy, I'll walk from town.

I know a lot of people can't do that which is where my concern is. I know someone who's disabled and has had to book a parking space at the Chinese near by for £25.

Are the soccer busses running? I used to get it from lime street.

I think arriving at the ground should be okay as it's staggered. Leaving will be the difficult part.

First thing is 53k fans leaving through the same entry points at the same time. I went up there the other week and there's not a huge amount of space to exit. People are going to need to be very patient.

Secondly, if the amount of transport that's going to be available at full time. In my opinion they're going to need a lot of buses ready in place to fill up to get people back into the city centre. You can't have people standing there for over half an hour in the winter.

My prediction is there'll be a lot of people right now who plan on walking in from town that very rarely actually walk that much. Half an hour in and half an hour out doesn't sound bad but throw in some poor weather and the novelty of doing the walk to the new ground wearing off and they're going to be forced into finding alternatives.

Not being able to get to the game. Theres a finite amount of places available for disabled parking. As for those who got to Goodison by public transport, forget it for a few years down at the dock stadium.

It's not about age mate. It's about mobility, and some people are disabled at a much younger age than you too.

But bear in mind some people have other reasons for their lack of mobility and they cant do a 2.5 mile walk from town to the docks or anywhere like it.

Plenty of people go the game who are like 70+ and not capable of walking that far.

That's not even considering people who are disabled.

Then there'll be people who are bevvying in town and will end up getting taxis cos there's no other solution, and this increases the above problem even further.

I reckon the council have attempted to call a bluff with all of this thinking the stadium wouldn't happen and by the time they realised the stadium definitely was going to happen the price of everything has gone up and they've done the proverbial in the proverbial bed.

That's why I put a post on here couple days ago. Thought the 1000's of cars that parked on Stanley Park might have been a good shout for a park and ride. Didnt mind paying the £13 to park

It's 15-20 minute walk from Stanley Park Car Park to Goodison. Your parking options will be limited at Bramley Moore and most will be faced with 30-40 minute walks for parking.
