How many PL starts do you think the lad has since 2023?

The last time he was a PL regular he went down behind the worst Everton team I’ve ever seen.
Why does it matter that his team got relegated? Football first teams don't consist of one player, gana , Robertson and other quality players were on relegated teams i never fathom the rationale of this point

We have and nobody wants to sign for us, I think you need a bit of perspective with this, we are down to the lower half of our list now imo. I don't really think we want Dibling (not at the price being pushed) but all our other choices don't want to come here. We will see what Rigg does this year, personally don't think he is good enough and wouldn't be surprised if he goes back down to the Championship on loan, he isn't the player you seem to think he is, I genuinely think you are mixing him up with someone else.

You said similar about Wharton, Rigg is clearly going to be a top player. The only thing is, how is he going to he managed and developed at Sunderland.

We've not gone out to every available option in Europe have we? We cant have been rejected by every good midfielder across the continent.

Im dismayed at this Dewsbury-Hall deal.

£45mil for Dibling would become a bit of a gamble...but if were throwing £28-30mil on average premier league midfielders then we need to make the Dibling gamble.

Now you're being facetious

We're looking for a creative midfielder who can come in and play regularly with little fuss/minimal risk. KDH is in his prime and knows English football well.

Fits the bill and is a market reflective price imo

Not every player we sign can be a promising 21 year old from Lille, and nor should it

I dont see Dewsbury-Hall as a creative midfielder. I see him, like Garner as an all-rounder.

He'd be more advanced on the left with Garner deeper on the right.

A good balance.

Feller's a 1 in 5 game player who becomes the Scarlett Pimpernell for the other 4 games.

Are we trying to get value for money here or just trying to pacify Moyes over the lack of bodies in?

Chelsea must be pissing themselves.
Yes a very poor signing.

Because he then played two subsequent years in the championship and the conference league.

Maresca wouldn't have brought him to Chelsea if he wasn't talented, he just had so many players to choose from he couldn't justify a spot for him. I think this could be a excellent piece of business being realistic about where we are as a club right now.
Yes Chelsea a club notorious for their discretion with transfers

Lol

If ever there was a definition of picking the stats to fit the argument you want to make, then this is it 😂

How many trophies has he won since 2023 mate?
I think it’s fair to question a 27 year old (thanks to everyone who checked me on that earlier) who hasn’t played in the PL for two seasons essentially is worth spending close to 30m on. Add on that he wasn’t all that as a PL player and well… what exactly are we doing with this one?

If we needed a half #10 half #8 with no future upside and meh current ability couldn’t we just get Ross off Villa for like 5m quid and called it a day?

I think the fact he was a product of Leicester's academy he was content in aiding his club in regaining their premier league footing , not a lack of ambition. The conference league is no different than a player comes from an obscure league like soucek if anything it makes him more multifaceted playing in different competitions

Some squad this. I didn't think we had that much money.
