There is a deal to be done. If he has been granted permission to speak to us, then they certainly aren’t laughing at our 3rd offer. Hopefully it’s just about payment timings and how likely the add-on targets are. Will will need to pay big, but there is a line.

Dibling has become the preferred option to strengthen on the right wing after Everton missed out on their original target Francisco Conceicao, who joined Juventus permanently after a loan spell in Turin from FC Porto.

Everton’s latest bid was worth about £40million in total and followed previous bids of £27million and £35million. However, the Championship club are continuing to seek more than the latest bid for Dibling, who is keen to move to Merseyside and has two years remaining on his contract. It will now need Southampton to relent on their asking price for progress to be made

Hill Dickinson Stadium, Dewsbury-Hall and now Tyler Dibling!!!

Are we the new Tories?
Yes. Boris Johnson uncle was huge toffee.
So which is it today, fellas? Is it:

“We should go and get our top targets, whatever it takes!”

OR

“We shouldn’t pay that! Walk away and wait for them to panic nearer the deadline!”

Getting awful confusing in here.
See Palace swooping in in tomorrows news.

Fee seems big to us, as we never really spend this much.

In reality, its not that big at all, even mid clubs are throwing £40 mill or so around.

Might seem it to us because we’re not used to spending that kind of dough, but looking at those other fees there I’m not sure it is wild. He has the POTENTIAL to be better than Elanga and Madueke who have gone for 10 million more apiece. There’s no guarantees he’ll fulfil that potential so it’s a calculated gamble, but we made a similar gamble on Richarlison for similar money that paid off handsomely.

Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice and take that chance. The upside is potentially huge.

That’s a very short sighted and glass half empty way of looking at it. I’m pretty sure we’re not looking to invest 45 million quid in a 19 year old with the expectation he won’t improve on those stats in the coming years.

When Archie Gray went to Spurs for £40mil having played RB for Leeds that season, i was disappointed.

Could have been our long term RB (or CM).

Dibling is a RW so typically of a higher value.

£45mil...just get it done.

I mean it doesn’t seem like he was our top target from where I’m sitting  he may be it right now after our top targets pied us off.
