New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Some of fans are starting to sound like kopite Rotherham, like the stadium has just appeared.
Did Everton, or the council tell you where you could park around Goodison? More than likely you have found your own specs. It’s the same for BMD.
If you are still worried about where to park, you have only got yourself to blame.
you didnt need to be told as there were places within a mile or so that could be parked on. Now, there is nowhere within the north of the city to park as there are now two no park zones, not one, but more people looking for those fewer spaces.

Some people do not have the option of public transport. I can on a weekend game but a midweek game will see me having to drive (or the very real possibility of missing the one train home after the game)

Openly advertising the fact that they have done nothing at all to improve local Infrastructure, and have not done anything. Everton have spent 800 million on a stadium, and they have sat back and made excuses like ‘well the club need to do their part’. Scum!

Imagine your only business model is charging people to use your transportation but you actively tell people to walk instead of using it.

They obviously think everyone's an able bodied 15-40 year old who can drink their way from town to BMD.

A completely irresponsible and thoughtless tweet from Merseytravel.
No not everyone but a high % will be, and I know plenty of fit and healthy people well into their 70s

It's not as big an issue for the vast majority then you think

Sandhills has been updated but ultimately the jury is out, we need to see how it does before we say it's good or bad

Loads of private parking will crop up - what won't be available as easily is free parking with 0.5-1mile from the ground like at goodison - I've parked at grandison road for years but will be likely car sharing or getting the train more

Consider your travel options 👀

Something they and Rotherham haven’t done despite 4 years warning

The difference being people had built up these habits over many years. Come next Saturday you've got 50,000 people finding a new way to the stadium and there doesn't seem to be much information out there to help those who don't fancy a 30 minute walk from town.

There does seem to be an attitude from some of our supporters as well as the club and the council that these things will take care of themselves but I doubt they will. The first few games are going to be crucial for them to learn and adapt things to make it a good match day experience.

For me it's easy, I'll walk from town.

I know a lot of people can't do that which is where my concern is. I know someone who's disabled and has had to book a parking space at the Chinese near by for £25.

Are the soccer busses running? I used to get it from lime street.

£25? Last time I looked it was £15 at the Chinese (presume you mean WH Lun/Taipan.)
Also yes, there are soccer buses running from near Lime Street, as well as Liverpool One, Bootle and Kirkby.
Full bus details here

I’m sure this has been covered somewhere in the 9000 page feed but who even has the time to scroll…….Best place for match day parking, please!
The nearest I've found are the Taipan Restaurant/W.H. Lung supermarket car park on Boundary Street, and the one on Walter Street. Both £15. I also found one a little further on Pall Mall for £10. I live in Vauxhall so I'll do another scouting mission before Saturday and post my findings.
