He's got a point to be fair.
No he doesn't. Tierno Barry & Adam Anzou have come straight in from the European leagues. Gyokeres 'did nothing in the Premier League' because he never played in it prior to moving straight from the Championship to Portugal and then onto Arsenal in the space of a year for like, what £80m?

Why are people still using the 'not Premier League proven' argument in 2025??

Ones played a full season of European football and won a trophy and a world club championship with Chelsea.

The other played for Derby County on loan.

I mean come on, let’s not be silly about things.

Hopefully Armstrong goes on to be better than him.
The odds on Armstrong playing League One are VERY high.

Its crazy how much the hype the boy gets for just existing.

I'm not basing this on his talent by the way, cos hes barely played.

But, well, anyway.

Relevance is another debate entirely.

We're paying a fee for a player who is nearly 27 and has only performed in England. He's not done a lot in the Prem. It's a valid point he's made.

I don't really have an opinion on him but I still hope we sign him, and think he'll improve us.

Mickey mouse cup & that's where he scored for Chelsea - his goals playing poor teams .. not in the prem ....
