Every single right wing target we've gone in at 30 and been told 40-45 to get a deal done.

We should have seen this coming considering everyone knows we don't have a squad. Think we have probably been unrealistic in the prices we thought we were going to be able to negotiate tbh.

If we stick to our guns and eventually get players in for the prices we want it will look great, but if we end up paying asking price for a load of players right at the end of the window we'll all be sat here wondering why we wasted so much time.

You've seen 150 mins if you watched all 3 games; and not watched Southampton again.

Before you write him off, and he actually was very good in the cup game, maybe give him a little more time, thats all.
Haven't written him off, but it's a huge gamble at the price quoted. But that's where we are. I've seen him in other games than against us and he isn't standing out in poor team to me to be chucking £45m at the potential.

There’s clearly been no plan in place and Kinnear lied to the fanbase saying everything was on track. He’s a bluffer like all the bluffers that came before him, a politician, lots of words and very little action.
It does look messy, but wasn’t the plan to get very good players like Waltermade, Luiz and Fofana. Then when we failed (after two of them strung us along waiting for offers from teams in Europe), we dropped down the list to slightly less good players like Barry, KDH, Dib-Dab. Whilst simultaneously picking up a development LB and sub keeper.

The outcome is not as star spangled as we’d hoped, and defo slow, but I don’t think it shows absence of a plan. Shows maybe a naive plan where we wasted time with agents who had no intention of pushing their clients to perennial relegation battlers Everton (which is what we are in their eyes). We wanted to persuade Europa League quality players here whilst refusing to use excessive cash to do it. Impossible.

Well that wasn’t a very good plan either as we seemingly only approached these players to find out they weren’t interested at the end of July.
