What you mean we did an opening bid and raise the bid towards the asking price incrementally.

Pretty much what we sold Gordon for.

We basically set our own benchmark and that was a couple of seasons ago - although we had not just been relegated and Gordon agitated for the move, whereas Dibling does not seem to be. We also needed the money due to PSR, whereas it doesn't seem like they do.

Gordon had scored 7 goals in 65 appearances for us at the time of being sold and was an England U21 regular. 2 goals in 34 games for Dibling and he was demoted to England U19s for the summer Euros, then pulled out with injury.

I like the idea of Dibling, but not sure he has lived up to the hype. If Omari Hutchison does actually have a buyout clause of £35m, that would seem better value to me for a more developed player.
