There comes a point where you have to walk away, this is getting a bit like the sigurdson transfer where we just kept paying more and in the end got stiffed by Swansea.

Not really, it's our second bid, very few transfers - almost zero, get done on a first bid unless it's a buyout

We are bumbling around like drunks in a strippers again. A player that seemingly was only added to our list two weeks ago, it really begs the question who is next on the list after this? We look ridiculous, chaotic and clueless yet again.

I know the Jack Harrison memes are getting slightly tiresome, but is it even a meme at this point?

It's a difficult one but for years we've been moaning that we don't sign young talented players with a high ceiling.

This lad could easily be worth £100 million in a couple of years

I think it represents a big risk for us mate, it's one of our biggest ever transfers if it gets done. Not the sort of transfer where he can be given minutes here and there for the next two seasons and be eased in.

I'd certainly rather spend on potential than just get players who will never be able to shift the dial for us.

You'd have to back Moyes' judgement on him but still a risk and could go either way. I thought if we were spending that type of money it would be on someone 2-4 years older with something more demonstrable in their career.

It's a bold move though, I'll give them that.

And in that 2-4 year period say he develops as we must believe he will, then we would have zero chance and he'd be valued at 100-120m
