Are you holding it together? You’ve been banging on about this lad for about 18 months.

Haha it's the definite type we should be after.

Young, English, youth international with high potential.

If we had half a dozen players like this then we could have the nucleus of a lonf term side.

Hopefully it comes off.

I don't think we'd have progressed as far as a bid if Moyes had a whiff of an attitude that bad. I don't hate a little bit of arrogance in a young player, especially an attacker, so hopefully that's all it is.

Moyes in the past was strict on personal character / attitude.

Always met the players before signing them, Belamy was about to sign after going to his house, but someone talked him out of it, can't remember know.

Would have liked to have signed him in his prime.

Apologies for this friend of a friend story. Chatting to someone at work this morning about the season coming up Everton and football in general. Mentioned we needed bodies in and said we look to be in for dibling. He said his boy knows taylor harwood bellis( they're from that area) and he's told him diblings attitude stinks.
Not exactly what i wanted to hear about a potential signing lol.
No proof. No evidence. Just a chat with a sensible fella who i know wouldnt just say it for no reason. Did make me think though that if there is any truth at all in it. Moyes might not go there.

Interesting.

That's not very professional of Taylor Harwood Bellis to divulge that sort of information about a team mate is it, especially from someone who captained the team last season.

I'd imagine to this sort of thing is sort of common at clubs with players of contrasting styles and morals, a no nonsense clogger probably thinks the mercurial dynamic footballers attitude stinks as he doesn't track back, but if that's not his job, what's the harm.

The best team mates, club players tend to be the ones who understand there has to be a different dynamic in a side, its the 'United in 08' thing. was Brown was told not to go past the halfway line at right back as it was pretty much guaranteed Ronaldo wasn't coming back to help him (extreme example)

What about now though?

If we do get this over the line, it will be such a coup. Saw him a few times last season and I thought he was probably too good for us to sign - that is, City would pick him up. Or United, if they didn’t just want to pay top money for older players who are already at their peak. Like McAtee, Dibling looks a central player long term - a 10 or even an 8 as he matures. But would be a big improvement on the right for us for a couple of years first.
