We are at the stage where we either take a risk on young potential (Dibling) or quality players that just had a down season (Ndaiye) or we sign the likes of Browmhill and Ings.

Players like Luiz will end up joining a team like Forest.

At least Dibling has played a number of games in the Premier League showing some quality and plenty of potential.
Let's hope it pays off. But we've over paid for average before. Fingers crossed.

Feel like I'd rather overpay for Luis. But I honestly know nothing. I do like the idea of younger hungry players.

That's subjective. What were his stats from all those appearances? How many goals and assists?
If he scored 10 goals with a load of assists at 18 years old in the Premier League then he wouldn't be considering Everton. I have watched him play a fair bit and I'm confident that my statement/assertion holds up.

What?

Seems an achievable signing but a few concerns:

1. Will he be able to be our starting RW this season given age and experience?

2. In excess of 40m definitely seems a huge risk

3. Apparently was homesick while at Chelsea and only lasted 3 months there.

An hour of slightly tipsy YouTube research and am all in. Pay what they want and give them Patterson. Players bounce off him and initial acceleration is excellent. I like dribblers who go past people with ease without having to do stepovers and the like. Just instinctive understanding of where the defenders weight is and simple touches take him away from them.

Whilst we grow our stature maybe a little more slowly than we’d hoped, just be nice to have a positive, natural, dangerous player on either wing even if it doesn’t always come off. Watching footy is supposed to be fun.
