Agreed it’s a fair process and by far and away a simpler process than logging in to the old system at a time when I’m guaranteed to be working like most people.

Some questions:
1. How many ‘seats’ are actually available to members?
2. What are the odds/chances of getting a ticket? I.e how many of us are there? Is there 10,000 of us going for 2000 seats?It’s only going to increase and thus increase the odds. No problem with that, we’re popular!
3. Will everyone go in equal to the ballot, or will some be given higher priority based on conditions? (Years of membership? Previous successful ballots?)
4. Statistically speaking, someone could randomly be drawn out for every ballot they apply for, likewise, someone could be unsuccessful for every ballot. Is there something in place to prevent this?
5. Is it a random draw?

A ballot is absolutely the right path to take. Likewise, it must be ran well

Pretty sure it’s just a random draw. Someone said the other day there’s 5x the number of plus members vs tickets. Really rough maths would say roughly 10k tickets.

It literally is fair though. That’s how random chance works.

Now I’d have no issue if they did what you’re saying, but leaving it purely on random chance certainly isn’t “unfair”

Surely though if you put in for every home game ballot and get none your gonna be pretty miffed.

I don't think it'll come to that but I'd be asking for a refund of my membership and/or not bothering next season.

Oh I’d be fuming… but that’s not necessarily the same as whether it’s fair.

I’m fuming I’ve never won the lottery, but its not unfair.

I can't see any deductions on my bank for this! Hope they haven't messed up some of the applications

They didn’t take any money before the ballot. They tested the card with a £1 spend to show the card was active. It was not taken out though. If you had looked the day you registered it may have said held, but supposed to be released when draw done.
Everton clearly said no one would have the money (£1) taken before the draw.

It’ll work out in the end, the process will be smoothed out. Frustrating as hell though when you’re sat in the dark

Don’t get me started on that. I was in 1500-2000 bracket last time it was revealed before ST sales and didn’t get one. Joined the list in 2018. Now I’m in 1001-1500

I was on 4yrs membership when you needed 5. Membership wasn’t a requirement when I first joined the list, and when they added that requirement, I missed the news so missed a year. Then they backdated the year count to before it had been a requirement.

Was pretty infuriating that people who joined the list in 2022 and 23 were getting tickets because they’d paid an extra £30.
