2024/25 David Moyes

Then hopefully he gets binned off if we're in and around the bottom three come November 🙏

If that happens then what a mess we are in as a club. Brand new stadium, new era and we find ourselves battling relegation once more. What decent manager/players are going to come in that scenario?

Moyes worked wonders when he came in. 31 points from 19 games with one of the weakest squads in the league. Had many injuries to contend with also. And now the squad is even weaker. He’s been massively let down so far by this current lot. I wonder if they think they have a manager who can work miracles so let’s not bother singing anyone.

I'm really glad to hear him calling out the recruitment team. We've had years of being ran terribly off the field and it was managers who always lost their jobs over it, so he has every right to criticise.

It's August tomorrow and if you had told me in May this would be our squad come August, I would have thought you were joking.

We can't have more of the same and so far this is very much more of the same. I don't have much optimism this recruitment team will get it right.

Nobody expected the full rebuild to happen in one window but to be this short with 18 days till the PL starts is unbelievable and unforgivable tbh. Thelwell did better on his own and with no money. Keep on giving them Digs Davey. They deserve everything you throw at them.

He's not so subtlety telling the owners to get their hands in their pockets. Even last night in a friendly we had Michael Keane having a brain fart nearly costing us.

Not Moyes fault but the excitement we all had has been eroded as usual. No point getting excited anymore with this club they just poop on it every time.

Been absolute years since we've started a season well as well. Can still be salvaged, but we need signings now - move on if top targets aren't interested, we're past the point of being able to wait

Yes.

Please let's not peg a narrative that completely shifts any blame or responsibility off the bloke just because we're a few signings short. This set of players shouldn't be in trouble next season either way..
Is this the same set of players which many people were calling out as recently as January under Dyche?

The same set of players who couldn't perform under multiple different managers?

Is it possible that Moyes gave us the new manager bounce we needed and that's why we finished the season strongly?

Now, I don't think that these players are as bad as was being made out back then. However, to say we won't be in relegation danger without any new signings, is honestly quite naive.

This current squad of players will be in the bottom 5 next season, of that I've no doubt. Not just because of quality in key positions but also from lack of depth.
