Calling the recruitment side out blatantly here. Looks to be very frustrated.

I find the concept of "just move on" utterly stupid.

You spend months scouting players, looking into their background, dealing with the agents, the clubs, then just walk away when it gets a bit hard?

Its a loser attitude.
One in hand is better than two in the bush and all that.

Surely they should have spoken with clubs and agents over the 6months.

Which makes the lack of 1st 11 signings bizarre.

Another negative presser then😬 Moyes is being badly let down by Kinnear/Hammond, they simply need to get a move on, starting today.

Moyes isnt daft. If hes been told a budget and has to fit X amount of players inside the budget then he knows Hammond only has a certain margin for negotiation and Kinnear can only sign off so much.

Moyes has learnt from Man Utd that you can’t just sit back and be nice when the upper management can’t get the deals done.

Well we dont know if hes learned anything as at West Ham he had one or two DOFs.

I’d imagine the players are at least as frustrated as the manager about the lack of transfers.

Most likely but do you think his comments on Anzou were positive or downplaying/negative?

Theres a lot of negativity from him and his weird laugh when he said 9 or 10 players and some people cheered was a bit bizarre.

I find it odd that we seem to have made one bid for Fofana which was rejected and seem to be unwilling or unable to negotiate -- which would be disappointing.

Executed as planned, nice one Moyes. Show them tanks what they've got in their own back yard. Job's for the boys in recruitment, talking guff and not actually doing much. Standard

Does anyone remember when Moyes only signed "three or four players every summer" as I saw another poster list down his signings as being 9-11 a few times.

I dont think its often hes only signed, or weve only signed "three or four" unless we had no money...

On the result and transfer plans, he continued: "I'm not overly concerned because I don't have the players I need. Obviously, we're really up against it and we knew before the start of the [tournament] that we were going to be really up against it. We finished above two of the three other teams that are playing in it, so we have to get back on it. But, at the moment, until we get our better players back and until we add to the squad, we're going to have a struggle.

"I think there is a bigger turnover of players now at clubs than there used to be. It used to be signing maybe three or four, tops, every season, but because of the way with the bigger squads and boys not getting games, you find that there's a bigger revolving door of players. A lot of clubs will be signing quite big numbers. Ours is partly because of the position we had, the situation we had with players. We wanted to have the players in a lot sooner, especially coming here, because I knew we'd be incredibly short.

"Then, obviously losing Jarrad Branthwaite and Tarky [to injury] – to name two – makes it even more difficult.

"But no excuses. We played the last game of the season without those two and beat Newcastle, who were going for the Champions League, so there's no excuses for our performances and I'm not giving any – but I think there are reasons for it because those boys are really important for the team."
