Everton Youth Teams Thread

From the U17 team at Triangle Cup in Bermuda;

24 goals over 3 matches, no goals conceded. Finals to be played on Sunday.

Robert - 8 goals
Nsangou - 7 goals
Doughty - 1 goals
Olayiwola - 3 goals
Moses - 1 goal, at least 4 assists
Murdock - 1 from well outside the box apparently
McEverly - 1 from a header

Lad named Aiden Mee also scored (think he was in the U16 team in the spring)

Dodds and Tomos-Pemberton both picked up injuries.

Seems like the competition is well below their standards but I guess good to get them playing competitive minutes together.

….there must be a very good chance McEveley is James McEveley’s son.

You’d think there’s a good chance. He does have a son and is a scouser.

….yep, James was in the same class as my daughter as kids, I took an interest in his footy and would often chat with his Dad. He’s close friends with Sean Doherty, they both were in the Cardinal Heenan team coached by Neil Dewsnip when he taught there. Be nice if it’s his son.

As expected we won the final. Nsangou finished top scorer and Olayiwola won player of tournament. Amazingly, we didn't win the golden glove though, so must've rotated keepers https://www.royalgazette.com/event/sport/article/20250727/2025-bermuda-triangle-cup-championship/
