Everton Ticketing Changes

This is just a silly counter-argument.

The new pricing structure puts our ticket prices higher than LFCs - by some distance (£61 is their highest).

Now given that the two clubs share a similar demographic in terms of local fan base, Communities that score highest in the country for deprivation and poverty, you would think the price points would be at the very worst the same. Now given that LFC are also wining trophies and we have been flirting with relegation, I can’t see how the club can justify charging more.

My personal opinion is that an adult ticket should be capped at £30. Like away games.

My worry is what this means if we did qualify for Europe? Are we looking at similar prices to Villa (£90-£100)? That completely prices me as a season ticket holder out of attending all of those games.
I think everybody accepts going to Premier League matches is expensive, however as you say it's ridiculous that Everton fans are paying more for match tickets and memberships than RS. Arsenal at least in past, catered to normal working class fans and wealthier fans. It's worth pointing out that RS also know that a lot of their fans are tourists and are only going to visit once and spend huge amounts in club shop. It seems owners are trying to change Everton as a club and cleanse working class match going supporters. If that's OK to some on here that's fine, however do we really want to be like RS? I think once novelty goes large numbers of "legacy fans" who have season tickets will give them up and unless we are doing great, you'll just have empty seats. Plenty of clubs have built new stadiums and haven't achieved anything. Sunderland, Boro, Hull, Stoke, Bolton, Wigan, Cardiff, Coventry and Derby. City have to run a buy 1 get 1 free offer for certain games and that was in Champions League, when they'd just won the league.

If they continue to increase prices then I suspect the majority of our long standing support won't be able to afford to go regularly and then it will come down to whether we have a good enough team on the pitch for the owners to keep exploiting the rest of the support.

If we have a winning team, then some of the longer standing fans will be able to justify paying higher prices and it will attract more supporters that we often mock other clubs for having. If we are in a similar situation to now, still on a trophyless run with no sign of challenging for anything worthwhile then I think we will see thousands of empty seats for a lot of games, but it will take a good few years for that - probably 5+.

Had emailed fan centre team about ST holders not able to apply or enter ballot to purchase a ticket for a member.
Response was, that the 'Systems team' have been notified and they are seeing if possible to design a way thatll allow ST holders to add members into the ballot.

Can't imagine that's possible without a significant rewrite

If successful tomo in the ballot....
Do we need to pick our own ticket or are we just allocated one and the money is taken straight from our account?
I only ask because I am locked out of my email at the mo, will I get a notification on the EFC App??

Thank you 👍

Can I clarify that there is now two tiers of membership, where you can buy one ticket each, and no general sale at all? How are you supposed to attend with family or friends now? I don't dislike the ballot idea for members but if I'm right about the rest of it then it's completely ruined any hope of me planning a visit as a non local fan.
You have to be a member.
Unless you pay premium.
Wonder if that's regulated?

The only other way around it would be to log in on the child members account and enter the ballot for them.

I had an issue a couple of months back when I messed something up with the ticket privileges on my network and it required the acceptance of my son to change it back!

I called the club and got an email address assigned to the account and a password. So I can now log in directly as him.

I didn't try it, but I did take a look, and I'm pretty sure I could have entered him (or anybody else in the network) in the ballot directly, through his log in, as it let me through to the payment screen.

Yes had this confirmed. But you've got to question the mentality of the systems team to not of thought of this scenario. Let's allow 4 year olds to create their own account and email address, and guess what, allow any payment card they desire.
Anyways will play the game if that's how they want it

Pretty sure they just allocate one and take the money.
