Indeed. All got a bit ridiculous after the daleks (the daleks were a novelty at the time).People who say they watched Dr Who on TV as a kid "from behind the couch".
Was it scary? I can only remember bombing around the playground pretending to be a dalek and doing the exterminate voice endlessly.

Great shout, infuriates me that. Typically results in a loud and very sarky āyouāre welcomeāWhen you hold a door for someone and they don't say "thanks".

Iāve tried my best to keep that āyouāre welcomeā in but I just canāt. My daughters picked it up from me and I keep telling her to at least give them chance to say thanks! When you hold a door for someone and they don't say "thanks".
Being nice and courteous these days seems somewhat revolutionary.Sad times, but I never expect a "thanks", "excuse me" or "please" these days.
Nice when you do encounter good manners though.
As my parents regularly explained to me, and likewise I repeat to my own children, manners cost nothing but are worth absolutely everything.Dead easy in the grand scheme of things.
