Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

Well that’s where my issue with the signing lies. Ndiaye is currently our best attacker and plays LW, is the plan to shift him to number 10 and play Grealish wide? Would seem odd to move Ndiaye central after a good season on the left. TBH I’m just desperate for us to sign a natural right winger considering we’ve needed one for about 5 years, Grealish would simply be a nice bonus😂
Ndiaye has an almost non-existent assist contribution to his name.

He's been a bright light in a very dark time, but he's no world-beater. We're going to need plenty better than him to move up. Not that I'm sold on tight shorts-tight calves...

I would be interested to find out what some of our supporters would consider to be a fair deal to sign Grealish on loan.

My view is that we should cover around 60% of his reportedly mammoth £300k/week wages, which would amount to £180k/week being covered by ourselves, with Man City covering the remaining £120k/week. If we were to include an option or obligation to buy in the deal I would expect that to amount to somewhere in the region of £40m, given that Man City will be desperate to re-coup as much of their £100m outlay as possible.

I am not so sure that I would label him as our best player if he were to sign, but he would certainly be one of our better players. Although, I would not hold my breath with this one since wages could prove to be a stumbling block when trying to get this over the line.
You'd commit to a 40m purchase for a soon to be 31 year old at the start of that deal on top of paying him 180k per week. You absolute loon.

He our most talented player by far. We need to sign about 15 top class players before we should even think about looking to up grade him. He can get more assists but he is playing in a team where he is pretty much the only creative option and he has no other high class attacking players around him. Assists can be a very overrated stat.

Our bar is very low. Being our most creative player means being the tallest midget.

I wouldn't seek to upgrade him this summer - but I wouldn't hesitate to move him if it means getting a better player into his current position.

After having to endure the eye-bleaching football under Benitez, Fat Sam, & the ginger turps-guzzler, it would make me happy to see someone who can actually play the beautiful game. Even if he only turns up for half the games I'd still sign him.

I was only making the suggestion that the option to buy may be around £40m, which could be justifiable if Grealish were to make a significant contribution. As I mentioned previously, Man City will seek to re-coup as much of their £100m outlay as possible.

Any permanent deal to sign Grealish would also likely require him to take a pay cut - whether he would be willing to do so would be another matter entirely.

He's had to do everything himself so far. Strikers have been largely arse-biscuits in recent seasons, with even Beto missing multiple one on ones when on a purple patch.

Better forwards (and some goal scoring midfielders...) = More assists

Yes, I agree. But I'm holding back on the adulation until he does it consistently. Hopefully he shows us what he's capable of when he has better players around him (such as, potentially, Grealish).

Which he won’t do, would you?? I certainly wouldn’t. If I was him I know city want me out however that may come and so I’ll go on loan and see out my contract.

That the problem with paying high wages, we did and suffered from players not being able to move on as nobody would pay high wages for players that aren’t worth it.

if he wants to play he lowers his wages

n that’s it mate
