He has so much talent yet so little commitment to the professional discipline required to maximise it that he keeps wearing out his welcome. His lack of professionalism explains why the magic has become less and less frequent. Pep finally pretty much gave up on him and he is very respectful and nurturing of talent.

This feels like a Moshiri type ‘box office name’ signing. Massively expensive even as a loan and unlikely to provide value for money. This is not a deal any club committed seriously to building a younger, hungry, hard-working core should even consider. The fact we seem to be giving it real thought is for me easily the most worrying thing so far this summer.

This one has been lurking the whole window though and it just seems to be on the cards. I am on the fence with it tbh. Cracking player but his ego is as big as his bank account and I’m not convinced he will put the required effort in. I still think he will be here this season though.

Guardiola talked about it more than once last season as a factor in his limited playing time the past two seasons. It is pretty much common knowledge.

It’s definitely nowhere near them like. Weren’t Ginola and Gazza about 35?

I think ginola was 35 , gazza 33 and he was gazza. I think we can all agree dele was a slightly different case to the norm .

Grealish is 29 and made about 20 appearances, of varying lengths last year . Feels a little different to them .
