If he’s half the player he was five years ago, he’s still an upgrade on anything we have apart from Ndiaye imo.

We’ve spent years and years every week begging for a RW/RM. Harrison’s not a RW, Lindstrom not a RW. Hence they were both crap on the right. It’s been a constant source of complaint and driven everyone mad every window. People checking if Geri is fit yet. Linked with another left side player……it’s ok he played on the right twice when he was 13. Modern players can do everything. Why risk it when every player we buy HAS to work; such an important window for us. We need 2 starting quality players for the right side and so far all links are to very expensive left wingers.

Yes we should grab every talent we can afford who will come here, eventually. But just buy a proper RW who can cover on the left when Illy is at AFCON. Rather than the other way around having to shove our current best LW over to the right and then play Charly RW during AFCON.

Think we’re a good fit for him. Agree re Villa for obvious reasons, but I think we’re in a similar position to Villa were when he turned on the razzle dazzle and attracted City’s attention, he loves doing his bit for charity so you know he’d be front and centre of all the EITC stuff and I think he’d quite like being the old head with some young dynamos like Illy and Charly looking up to him.
