I think the keepers have a bit of an easier time on penalties in the women’s game. Women can’t kick the ball quite as hard as men (especially after playing 7.5 matches worth of football in three weeks) but their reaction times off the line are the same. If they guess right, the keeper is surely making the save.

Factor in the belief that any missed penalty is the taker’s fault and it becomes an easy stick to beat the women’s game with.
