Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

We don't want players that have one fixed position. Trust me. Only the truly world class types get away with it. The likes of Robben comes to mind, and even he spent time at LW. Saka is a modern example of someone who you could say is a one-trick pony, but when you look beneath the surface even he has played as a wing-back.

I've contradicted myself!

Good player but in probably the lowest priority position in the squad. We've already got Ndiaye and McNeil on the left, unless we're looking to sign him as a 10 but will he work hard enough for Moyes in that position? Are we looking at selling McNeil?
Dis it with paqueta at wet ham imo would be in for the 10 position.
Can’t see how both him and Mcatee join. Along with Ndiaye and Alcaraz they’re all players in a similar mould unless one can drop deeper into midfield.
You think mcatee would be used for out wide on the right. Do agree with you if is grealish and mcatee would still need a more natural winger. Is strange that also fofana is meant be played on the left aswell is alot of players who prefer the left or central

"Make signings!"

Everton Interested in Grealish

"NOT HIM!"

Everton social media, sensational stuff.
I don't really understand why anyone would be against the idea of signing him on loan.

If we were having to pay 40m or something then yeah I would get the concern. But I don't think there's any chance of that happening

The risk with a loan is still there to some degree because he will have high wages, but I think it's a risk worth taking

For me, low-risk, high reward.

Frees up a transfer need. If hes bad, he can go back. Has a point to prove.

Im for him. I think hed be a statement signing. I just feel hes got "down on his luck" vibes like Pienaar and Arteta had (Which i got caned for saying previously - but in terms of out of favour; Moyes can rejuvenate).

Think if we got Grealish it would help getting other signings over the line.

Its a high profile signing and maybe Luiz/Fofana or any other potential targets who are considering might just come now.

It depends on the terms. If we’re talking about an £8-10m loan fee and £150k + wages then I just don’t really see the point. I can’t imagine him having enough of an impact in the short term to make that worthwhile, and it offers us no benefit in the long run. We’ve been down similar roads before. On more favourable terms it’s a different conversation.
