I have snapped my Achilles. Going to fracture clinic Monday to see consultant, but almost certain I will require surgery.

Daft question incoming: Does anyone know roughly wait times for surgery on NHS, and any idea of price if i have to go private, as can’t afford to be off work for long.

Rang a mate who done his couple years ago, said he recovered in 3-4months. Gave me hope, but then he added, he only strained his, and they just gave him crutches. I’m sat here with a massive boot on.

Daft answers welcome, also leave me hanging/tumbleweed would be funny as well.

Sorry to hear that.
One of my clients snapped his playing Badminton.
15mm break in the tendon
He had a boot for a while but all in it took a good 4 months for him to recover without surgery.

If you need surgery you’ll probably get outsourced private mate because they can’t leave you on one Achilles and the general waits will be too long
