Everyone says bellend, it's not an exclusively scouse thing.Bellend! Its used by all generations and still my go to insult when someome is being a 'bellend'
I had a mate whose wife was from overseas and explaining this and the differences between beaut , belter , knobhead etc was extremely challenging .It`s the context of the insult.
I`d never thought about this, until my mate, who`s an exiled scouser in East Yorkshire, brought this to my attention.
The term " knobhead " in Liverpool can mean two things :
" alright knobhead " > alright mate.
" you`re an utter knobhead " > you`re a total prick.
He said if you if you called someone a knobhead in any form where he lives, you`d invariably be starting a fight !
Being one myself I deliberately left any mention of that out of my original postEven I know that itās;
WOOL!
Good work.Being one myself I deliberately left any mention of that out of my original post![]()
