Womens Euro 2025

Barton was a crap player and is still a crap human being….
I can understand that he might not like the way the ladies games are played, I find it hard to watch myself, but why the need to be so nasty in his comments about it, apart from it being a way for a former over paid player who won nothing and made a name for himself for all the wrong reasons throughout his career to get people talking about himself. It was a great achievement to win the Euros on home soil a few years ago, and its an even better achievement to back it up with another win. Well done ladies.

Attention. If he isnt being horrible nobody pays attention to him.
To put that message out straight after their win, wind up or not, was vile. I really wouldnt want to be a woman around him in an enclosed space at any time.

Well done the lionesses, great achievement.

I’m delighted, hopefully it helps continue to fire up the girls/women’s game in the uk, which deserves to go from strength to strength.
This is possibly now the most interesting point of all. How will the women’s game develop? On these forums there seems to be a genuine contempt for how the men’s game has developed since 1992 ( a view I share). The men’s game is polarised into the few mega rich and many league and non league clubs barely surviving hand to mouth. Yet already the structure of the women’s game in this country mimics the men’s. An elite division and an almost elite division. From this season (?) no relegation from one to the other to enable those top clubs to bolster financially (albeit a temporary arrangement).
The sponsors, broadcasters and leeches are in, the top players will make money off the back of the rest of the game and the rest will struggle along.
I see the new Football Regulator becoming involved in the future, and not in any useful, sustainable way.

Yes I know that, but I couldn't really get what the excerpt was saying.
In layman's terms.... in the mainstay, FIFA/UEFA only allow sovereign states to enter teams: e.g. Belgium is a state so has a team, ROI is a state etc.

Therefore, it would be a United Kingdom team in competitions if the common rule was followed, but there are exceptions to allow England, Wales et al.

He's just a scumbag, mate, of the highest order. He's probably jealous that they were successful on the pitch, and he was just known as a bellend.

For certain reasons, I can't go into detail, but there are other demographics who wouldn't want to be near him.

Women’s football 😂. What a crock. Yet again a pathetic penalty shootout. Stick to housework
