Tbf Nkounkou is now at Frankfurt so he's having a decent career. We were just a basket case for young talent when he was here.

He rarely plays though, and regularly doesn’t make the matchday squad. It looks like we judged his level correctly, and Frankfurt just took a punt which hasn’t worked out.

He gave on best performances I’ve ever seen from a young Everton player in the League Cup. I swear I though he would be Roberto Carlos level after watching that one game.

Mykolenko gets judged extra harshly because of our recent LB history:

Myko 110 PL games, 4 goals, 2 assists
Digne 113, 4, 18
Baines 420, 39, 64

There may never be another Baines but Digne level of production would make a big difference to us. Myko’s assist numbers are pretty awful.

digne could also take a free kick but no where near the level of bainsy, who defo should spend more time with our current crop of players on practicing free kicks more.

Signed him up for 3 years; had a boss game in the league cup against someone like Salford... then got murdered against Newcastle kn the league and had two sub par loans at Standard & Cardiff.

The way things are going, I wonder if we'll end up seeing an enforced version of a Moyes classic - Aznou playing on the left wing for us (with Ndiaye or McNeil shunted elsewhere) while he acclimatises to the PL. Like Moyes did with Coleman.
