Matterface definitely commented on a few matches in this tournament. Good that Hutch got to do the England matches though.

It isn’t: the United Kingdom is the state. England is a nation that is part of the UK, with the latter having sovereignty over laws, foreign policy and whatnot.

It’s why at the Olympics people compete for the UK, and not England.

... Alex Scott's partner is Jess Glynne. They're both Arsenal fans and I'll probably meet both of them at my niece's wedding as Jess is going to be her maid of honour. Plenty of Spurs fans in my family but no Arsenal fans. It'll be an interesting reception.

I've Welsh, Scottish, Heligolandish (British, Danish or German but all records destroyed in WWII when Heligoland was bombed, so who knows?) blood but I was born in England. How can I not support England?
