2025/26 Everton Women - Super League & Cup Games

They drew if I'm being pedantic. Penalties are a bad way to decide a women's match as they are generally terrible at taking them. My point anyway is womens football attendances won't go up dramatically because people pay first and foremost to be entertained and if the world's best sides can't produce quality football on the grand stage then I doubt flocks of people will all of a sudden be inspired to go to the WSL games. As I keep saying womens football is a niche sport where families with young daughters make up the prominent fan base. Bringing in new fans from men's football won't happen for the above reasons I state. And to be completely honest I absolutely hate the hyperbole of the media towards it and the cringey 'Lionesses ' tag they use
I mean they deffo won , they’ve got a trophy and everything .

Hard to argue that a team whose won a continental tournament has ‘no’ talent in it.

You can certainly argue they had the rub of the green or aren’t as talented as others but no talent seems a stretch .
No I mean no talent. Hemp I used to rate but she's lost her dribbling ability and Lauren James is a now and again do something impressive player who today to be fair played the match hampered by injury. They won because they dug in and because Spain played like a latter day Arsene Wenger side trying to walk the ball in the net

I will never understand people. Win a final and moan about anything pos, if the crowd, if pens, if Spain were bad, if England were good etc. Personally i've never been a fan of international football, and i've always said it. But i will watch Womens internationals way, way more than the mens. The attendances will improve all round just like a few years back. How much time will tell. Everton will always and i mean always be the only team i care about.

I mean sorry I can’t have a tournament winner has no talent . I can deffo have not as much talent .

Opinions isn’t it . The other 15 teams must be fuming mind .

They reminded me of Greece in 2004 Euro's and there's nothing wrong with that a win is a win
Agreed but it doesn't really stay in the memory fondly looking back. We look more fondly back at Euro 96 because of the way England played the Netherlands off the park but we still managed to lose to a bog standard German side on guess what penalties!

Agree to disagree mate. I watched it expecting Spain to be brilliant as that was what the hype said. Guess what they weren't anything special. England played like a Dyche team and showed great grit and perseverance. But as an attacking side they played with no flair or imagination. Great cross and header for the goal being the exception of course

I just think it's wishful thinking about the attendances. It would be brilliant if womens football was full of sumptuous football and enjoyable to watch but its 9 times out of 10 a stodgy affair where you can wander off make yourself a sandwich or tea and not miss any discernable action
