2025/26 Everton Women - Super League & Cup Games

Only reason they kicked off early at 5.00pm was in case it went to penalties....
Spain did my head in, pretty short passing but absolutely no idea in the final third. England are so limited it's untrue yet we'll hear about how brilliant they are til Kingdom come now. Don't get me started on them pass back penalties either!

Did you watch? They had one shot on target in 120 minutes of football. Just sat back and gave the ball away constantly. They're a good group for resilience but there was no talent in them
They won, that's all that matters. I bet Spain, who had the better chances, arguably more talented and favourites don't agree with your view.

Hard to argue that a team whose won a continental tournament has ‘no’ talent in it.

You can certainly argue they had the rub of the green or aren’t as talented as others but no talent seems a stretch .

They drew if I'm being pedantic. Penalties are a bad way to decide a women's match as they are generally terrible at taking them. My point anyway is womens football attendances won't go up dramatically because people pay first and foremost to be entertained and if the world's best sides can't produce quality football on the grand stage then I doubt flocks of people will all of a sudden be inspired to go to the WSL games. As I keep saying womens football is a niche sport where families with young daughters make up the prominent fan base. Bringing in new fans from men's football won't happen for the above reasons I state. And to be completely honest I absolutely hate the hyperbole of the media towards it and the cringey 'Lionesses ' tag they use
