I'll take flashing lights at the new stadium over listening to bill kenwright's show tunes. It's proper wool.

Why would they use for footy ha?Should hope so too.
Its going to be used for goal celebrations for night games, they’re also going to be playing Freed From Desire by Gala when we score too.Why would they use for footy ha?
Its blatantly for other events ha
It’s for when Bournemouth visit in FebIt’s not like we score enough goals for them to install it for us.
More importantly, what are the beers on draft? We’re apparently asking for the 1st couple of games to be played away![]()
Took our 8 year old to his first ever concert as he’s a massive fan, think he spent most of the night in total disbelief that something could be so massive, and loud! But he enjoyed every second! One of my work colleagues lives very near, they get complementary tickets for most concerts due to "local disruption", they sent some footage of Imagine Dragons from last night, place was buzzing, look so good.
Been three times now, and I think if our stadium is half as good as that, it will be some stadium. After been to the first test event, its going to run it very close. Not to praise other teams stadiums but, went to The Spurs stadium for a concert last night….and all I can say is wow super modern stadium, fantastic sound because of the bowl and roof coverage, easy dispersal of the crowd after the show too.
Spurs have had a number of concerts and boxing events and it must be a good stream of non football related income, definitely something we should be maximising at BMD
Already got the rugby league in November which is sold out next some big summer concerts with 60-70,000 in attendance (bearing in mind the tickets for last night where £110!!)
Just had a quick Google and according to sources spurs make between £5-15 million from each event (bearing in mind Beyoncé played 6 nights) it’s deffo not to be sniffed at granted I have no idea how much it costs to relay a pitchIt's extra income alright but the artist and promoter will be taking most of it. Really all depends on the deal struck. Other revenues likely to be split also such as F&B, merchandising, parking etc.
Then deduct cost of replacing pitch etc.
Not sure that the pitch will need to be replaced after each run of concerts. They have concerts at other venues and cover the playing surface to protect it so it won`t get damaged and need replacing. It's extra income alright but the artist and promoter will be taking most of it. Villa Park, Anfield and London Stadium this summer are a few PL examples of this too.Not sure that the pitch will need to be replaced after each run of concerts. They have concerts at other venues and cover the playing surface to protect it so it won`t get damaged and need replacing.
