Yep, said that before too. Also, Serie A teams dont face the inflated prices the daft and bloated PL teams do. To compare spending in terms of fees is idiotic.
Ha ha ha
“Especially when the team we’ll be playing are getting money spent on them* “

* except it’s idiotic to compare spending.

Come for the Everton opinion. Stay for the comedy.

If at any point we win a pot under the stewardship of this group, I hope you are aware that soooooo many of you are not allowed in any way to celebrate or enjoy it. Sit in the corner and pout because you blew your load too early all because this lot didn’t sign prime Messi as soon as they walked in the door. We lost a few friendlies in pre season so these lot are frauds. Jesus wept.
I'm sure they'd find a way to moan about winning something too

They do have to come up with something by the Roma game. I expect they will from necessity.

Talk of protests etc are ridiculous but you do want that game and the Brighton one to showcase a few new players that we're excited to see.

At this stage if they weren't ready to play then they could still be introduced to the crowd.

I'd have taken that for granted a few weeks ago to be honest. Now, we're left hanging a little.

They can redeem the situation and I expect them to. It's a poor show from all of them though if they do not and we're left floundering on Sept. 1.

A huge amount of goodwill would be lost and hard to recover. Surely they want to avoid that.

Did you guys catch that one man protest happening outside ol Hill Dick Stadium?

Leaked Memo Reveals The Friedkin Group’s Strategic Priorities: Everton Women and Roma Men Take Center Stage
By Alfonso Offsidini

In a surprising development this week, a confidential internal memo from The Friedkin Group was leaked to several media outlets, shedding light on the conglomerate’s evolving football strategy across its European investments.

The memo, dated early July 2025 and marked “Internal Use Only,” outlines the group’s regional football priorities following their increasing involvement with Everton FC and continued ownership of AS Roma. According to the document, The Friedkin Group has designated Everton Women as their flagship UK project, while AS Roma’s men’s team remains their principal European focus.

The strategy reportedly reflects a deliberate push to carve out distinct market positions in each region. In the UK, the memo outlines a plan to “elevate Everton Women to a position of domestic and continental competitiveness, establishing the club as a leader in women’s football and a symbol of progressive investment.” Sources close to the matter say major recruitment, infrastructure improvements at Finch Farm, and branding partnerships are already underway.

Conversely, in Europe, AS Roma’s men’s side is seen as “the cornerstone of the Friedkin Group’s continental ambitions.” The memo highlights Roma’s “unrealized potential” to challenge consistently in Serie A and on the European stage, citing upcoming plans to boost squad investment and accelerate the long-delayed Stadio della Roma project.

The document also alludes to a wider branding synergy between the two clubs, with women’s empowerment initiatives planned through joint Everton-Roma programs, and a shared commercial strategy targeting global audiences.

Neither Everton nor AS Roma have officially been asked to comment on the leak, though insiders suggest both clubs were preparing coordinated announcements in the coming months. If genuine, the memo signals a bold and differentiated approach by The Friedkin Group, with gender-focused investment shaping the future of their football empire.
@davek
Get on this buddy. Between this lot and the ambulance chasing ground sponsors, WTF

people posting in here
that they aren’t assed about us

or backing moyes
I'm not sure who you're talking about, but having concerns about the progress of the club isn't the same as not being "assed about us".

After everything this club and it's support has been through over the past 30 years or so (maybe longer, on reflection), it's reasonable for fans to be circumspect about the ownership and management of the club and to make judgements based on outcomes, not hopes and aspirations.

This would be too unbelievable even on April 1st.

I know, that's my point, it's too soon to make any judgements, positive or negative. I would argue that you are being at least as irrationally full of praise for an ownership that hasn't done a great deal of anything yet as those who are decrying them. It's reasonable to be optimistic, but you seem to consider any pessimism as being a personal affront and evidence of people not being "assed about us". That's not reasonable.
