Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes was mistaken for a terrorist suspect and was shot dead at Stockwell Tube station in south London, as the hunt was intensified for those responsible for the London bombings on the 7th and 21st July.

….on this day in 1975, I started a temporary summer holiday job in the Civil Service. I was waiting for my A Level results, was no longer playing for LFC, was toying with the idea of going to university.
I left that job 41 years later, I met my wife in that first office, we have two wonderful kids and it’s given us security in life and retirement. Funny how things work out, wouldn’t change a thing.
