Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

Brilliant marketing, people all over the States will be going, I wanna support that soccer-ball team that got totally battered by Bournemouth.
Said it myself a few weeks ago — imagine taking this current Everton squad to a tournament in the US to play against at least two vastly superior Premier League sides. Dread to think what United to will do to us.

Was everyone bladdered in here last night or are the whoppers still out in force?

Laughable over reaction - we all know, including the manager, that the squad is nowhere near ready and that we need new players. Was anyone really expecting anything other than a defeat? It’s poor planning resulting in piss poor performance.

The club have let the football management team down by letting them travel with the resources we have currently, and Moyes has called them out tbf.

We should definitely have had more new signings through the door, but until the window is closed they have time to rectify that issue.

As I’ve said before, it’s isn’t close to being ideal from the new owners and recruitment team currently, but let’s not go insane over it just yet.

People should listen/watch Angus Kinnear interview released yesterday. Says pretty much that what you just put.

Yet, personally, the first half-performance showed me enough glimpses to not worry about this season.

I think thats the point of the reaction tbh. 20 days before the season starts we've entered this mini tournament and it really hit home when the graphics came up on screen that Everton couldnt even fill the bench. That we're two injured centre halves away from playing either midfielders as wingbacks or players who are quite clearly not up to it/ready. I found it actualy a bit embarrassing that the other 3 sides could change their whole side and still play like for like. Not only could Everton not they even started the game with players out of position.
I dont think its a laughable over reaction. The club hasnt a great track record of getting things like this right. We've basically a squad of 15/16 a few weeks going into the season. It needs to pull its finger out. And fast.

Decent first half. Looked fairly comfortable.

God knows what happened at half time.

Barely got out of our half and then numerous individual errors.

Hopefully 2/3 signings in the next few days because from that, they are going to need to stump up what people are asking for to get them in sooner rather than later.

Likely any new signings will have one game (Roma) to get in sync with the rest of the team. With our regular poor starts to the season this is going to ramp up the pressure, don't win at home early on that's equally going to do the same.

Anyone can get beat, only scoring three goals (2 behind closed doors) against the opposition we've faced so far is way more concerning. Everyone has to step up.
