Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

Pre season results are irrelevant. The current squad will be bottom half but should have enough to stay up. There's no need to panic. We're not going to sort all our problems in a pre season and even when we had really good teams we were invariably awful in preseason.
"Bottom half and should have enough to stay up" really isn't going to cut it for these owners' first summer. I'm not suggesting you are suggesting that'll do, but we need to start signing players pretty urgently now. I'm sure we will - but it's been a slower summer than surely everyone - including the owners - would have hoped for in the final days of July.

It is preseason so on one hand it doesn't matter. On the other, we sign up for a tournament to boost our following in another country and we get smashed...again.

If we commit to these things then we should go with a capable squad to get a result. We are not playing PSG, Real or Bayern here and we must do better, it's yet another missed opportunity.

I just missed out on seeing him.

He must have been utter dross to be thought of worse than Patterson.

Patterson is a disaster zone.

Some people believing he had a chance here this coming season underlines how desperation has taken over this fanbase.
He took over from the great Tommy Wright who was in the England squad in 1970 and was the epitome of Evertons fall 😒

TBH even if we had won 3-0 would you have stayed tuned in for the next game after us - not me as I take it for what it is a friendly tournament - we wont be playing at Leeds in 35c with a poor squad of players !

100%. That tonight was a cringefest.. City want to win everything. For some bizzare reason we treat these little tournaments and the league cup with contempt.
Losers mentality that does not seem to be going away.

disgraceful .
I've travelled over 3,000 miles to watch that!
not good enough.
Personally, I think it was madness this club traveling to the US for this when we have made such a mess of the window so far. We were simply not prepared, yet we have Kinnear telling us the US is "such an important market" for us. If it was that important, why are we reducing the value of our brand by performing like this?

I take little heed of pre-season matches, but we're miles off where we should be for late July.

...we did have some great RBs afterward though.

I wonder what they think of Patterson. Probably laughing their bollocks off at him...then crying that they got a hundredth of his wages.

Stay up ? Am worried about scoring goals. Probabably Burnley/ Sunderland down. Think Leeds will get home results and surprise.
