Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

We did play with 3 CBs that were made up of last years LB, last years makeshift RB and, err, Patto, who was 4th choice RB.

Their manager is touted as the greatest manager whoever lived by some pundits. If he hadn’t worked out where the huge holes in our shape were by half time it would have been a bit odd.

Flying out there with no fit JB, Tarks and now Keane is a bit crappy for the people that have travelled to watch. We will concede plenty of goals.

I know people love a good panic session but we were the better team in the first half , it's a training game and obviously we need some significant numbers of additions in this window but I don't think it's as grim as some people are making out
People want action now. Signings. It's clear that we need a massive overhaul. Yes, we can only do so much, but that doesn't mean we need to pretend most of what we have are up to it. Things will calm down when a stream of quality new players comes through the door, but until then people are entitled to fret. These new owners have to earn trust. They've done what they've needed to do behind the scenes, but fans will really only be placated by what they see on the pitch. Tonight is simultaneously an irrevelance and a very useful canary in the mine alert that should intensify the renewal.

You make valid points and some signings do need to come in as quickly as possible others unless we want quality issues might need to take a little further but I agree with the crux of your post. I just know there are also people on here who will moan on whoever we sign and whatever happens

Pre season results are irrelevant. The current squad will be bottom half but should have enough to stay up. There's no need to panic. We're not going to sort all our problems in a pre season and even when we had really good teams we were invariably awful in preseason.
