How much football do you watch?

Quite a lot, I don’t have Sky Sports or TNT, it’s Everton home and away, Prescot Cables home and away fitted around EFC. Ground hopping attempting the 92 which obviously changes most seasons. Scottish football due to stumbling across the TV programme A View From The Terrace and subsequently meeting a fellow Blue at a bus stop in Livingston who said “it’s a different world up here “ not that I needed much encouragement.

I really can’t explain it mate , the pies, the clubhouses - you can’t get ale in the ground above a certain level, I don’t know what the level is. I’m coming back in September to do Berwick Rangers because it looked nice passing through on the train and then a real bucket-list at Gala Fairydean Rovers. Their main stand is Category A listed , designed by a famous architect Peter Womersley. I tried and failed to explain Soviet brutalist architecture to my wife re. the stand but she just gave me that look despite us going to Moscow and Leningrad in 1987.

two years before the wall came down, you and the boss were sunning it up in deepest darkest russia?

Did you catch any football there, and what were the usual pie options?

😀 no we didn’t, it was me, the future Mrs and three mates, we dodged the Thomsons holidays stuff as much as we could and wandered around both cities. The food was grim , if we ever meet I’d be happy to have a laugh about what went on.Off topic but 3 of us and a kopite mate went to Berlin in July 1989 on a trip with the Echo , I don’t remember saying but another mate quotes me “I want to go before the wall comes down “.
