So that’s 1 opinion? VM is a really good defensive fullback. Where I will concede is that he hasn’t been the best getting forward. If that can be developed, we have an excellent left back in our hands. Moyes does develop defenders.

He's good for a low block team that isn't looking to be progressive and is happy finishing near the relegation zone. Good teams expects way more from their full backs.

Stats last season are VERY defensive. Looks like he's got decent take-ons but low in terms of what he does after that point. Still really young though.

His stats come from his senior experience being a loan to one of the worst sides in La Liga history, so while it's a good sign he did things defensively, that's pretty much all there would've been for him to do, and there's absolutely no way he was getting frequent chances to go forward with them. Like playing on a Dyche side but even worse.

Yeh I can't really say from clips and stats what he would be like, just really hope he isn't another Myko and we never see someone overlap & cross all season
