6th isn't the stars as far as I'm concerned. This league is a load of 'kin tat that we could climb with the introduction of 3/4 quality players to start games and a couple more for squad strengthening.

I took his comment of that's where Everton should be, roughly were we where under him.

I genuinely didn't interpret it as some fantastical dream.

If he'd have said "I want us to win the league" it would go viral and he'd become a complete laughing stock of the footballing world.

He's made a 'big' statement but when you look under the bonnet of it it's a pretty conservative one.

I was at this event last night.

Much of the conversation concerned our fight to avoid relegation.

In that context for Moyes to say that we should be aspiring to Europe was in no way shape or form the kind of damming by low expectations that you seem to think it was.

You have to be willfully distorting to get to that conclusion.
