No need for England to do anything weird here. Just keep batting and get as many as possible then try to win by an innings or on a very small day 5 chase.
Rehan Ahmed Got a century and took 13 wickets. At the moment I prefer either Ahmed or Hartley over Bashir purely on bowling.Gloucestershire all out for 285, Hartley 5-99, 11 in the match. First time in 30 years a player has taken 10 wickets and scored a hundred. Lancashire need 110 to win.
Will politely disagree with that and say Williamson is his equal, just only gets to play half the matches. Would take either of them to bat for my life.Joe Root, the best we have ever seen in an England shirt and for my money now the best of the 'big four' of his generation
I'd have no beef with that take, the way Williamson plays the ball under his eyes is incredible, so hard to bowl toWill politely disagree with that and say Williamson is his equal, just only gets to play half the matches. Would take either of them to bat for my life.

Love Kane but he’s not Root’s equal. No one is.
He is criminally underrated, though. A beautiful shot maker. As you say, down to NZ’s lack of tests. I love watching him bat.
When you think of the bowlers Tendulkar had to face though: Donald, Pollock, Warne, McGrath, Murali, Ambrose, Walsh, Wasim, Waqar, Defreitas...….thing is with Root is he’s overtaking some of the all-time great players having played fewer tests. I’m thankful to be living through an era where I’ve been able to watch Root and Anderson;
