I think she's very clever in appealing to a certain demographic.

I watched her on at Glastonbury and thought she was terrible, but it was billed as one of the sets of the whole weekend.

She definitely has a push behind her.

Same, we watched about 30mins of her set in a weird awe of how bad it was. Then I saw 5* reviews everywhere

Forget the last post I should have read further on. 😀

Musics all about opinions mate. Nowt wrong with liking different things. Since I discovered her I've always liked her as a person and performer, without being a fan of her music. She's honestly the most sincere person out there and very funny too. But this new album looks to be a change in direction from country to Indie pop and I'm liking it. Her Glasto performance was top 5 for me along with Fat Dog, Osees (who were new to me), Pulp and Wunderhorse. The one thing they have in common is they're all entertainers, it isn't just about the music.

As I said to C there's nothing wrong with having different opinions. But this notion, which I'm seeing a lot these days, that there's some sort of hidden agenda from the "industry" to propel her forward is just wrong. She's had a slow organic growth over the last 3/4 years, but the sole reason she has gained so much traction over the last few months is TikTok. She isn't even signed to a big label.

I could name you dozens of artists who have had a much bigger push than her this year and I wouldn't be surprised if I found some of them in your posting history. Mine too tbf.

Osees and the rest of their names are one of the best bands going, have you found a week to listen to all their/his albums yet?
